• DOB: After 1989, a birth certificate is compulsory to apply for a passport. In 2002, a QR code is necessary for birth documents.
• Application: Before applying, check that your documents match your name, address, and DOB.
• Documents: All documents must be original, with photocopies including a QR code. Laminated documents can sometimes be rejected.
• Appointment: You get only three appointments at the Passport Seva Kendra.

Step 4: Select “Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport”: After logging in, go to the services section and select the appropriate passport application service.

Step 5: Complete the Online Form: The fresh-passport application process contains several sections.

Step 6: Review Every Detail Before Submission: The review stage is one of the most important parts of the process.

Step 7: Submit the Application and Save the ARN: After reviewing the form, submit the application.

Step 8: Pay the Passport Fee: After submitting the application, proceed to the payment and appointment stage.

Step 9: Schedule the Appointment: After payment, use the appointment facility to select the available appointment option.

Step 10: Save Your Appointment Details: After successful booking, the appointment confirmation screen provides the appointment details.

Step 11: Prepare for the PSK or POPSK Visit: Before leaving for the appointment, complete one final document check.

Step 1: Open Passport Seva: Visit the official Passport Seva website and open Track Application Status.

Step 2: Select the Application Type: Select the appropriate application type displayed on the Passport Seva status page.

Step 3: Enter the Minor’s File Number: Enter the File Number belonging to the child’s passport application.

Step 4: Enter the Child’s Date of Birth: Enter the minor applicant’s Date of Birth, not the parent’s date of birth.

Step 5: Track the Application: Select Track Application Status to view the latest information available for the minor’s application.

Q. Can a passport be issued if police verification is still pending?

A.  No, after police verification is complete, the passport will be issued at the Passport Seva Kendra.

Q. What documents are needed after changing your name after marriage?

A.  Name change documents are a marriage certificate, a court affidavit, and two newspaper notices.

Q. Why can a Tatkaal passport application be placed on hold?

A. Because if the documents are not correct for a Tatkaal application, it may hold up your application.
