A. No, you cannot change your address online; you need physical documents for proof of address to submit to the office. You can only apply online for the correction of your address.

Q. How to Reschedule or Change the Appointment Date?

A. First, you go to the government website and log in with your application ID and password. Then, click "Payment and Appointment," select your office, and choose a new appointment date. Reminder: you can take only a total of three appointments.

Q. Is Passport Seva Kendra open today or Saturday?

A. A total of 35 public holidays are when the office is closed, like Republic Day, 26 January; Independence Day, 15 August; Gandhi Jayanti; and others. On Saturday and Sunday, the office is closed, but in some cases, the passport mela is open on Saturday.

Q. Is the application under review at the regional office?

A. First, you wait 30 days after the appointment; after 30 days, you go to the regional office with the appointment and all the original documents.

Q. Is Police Verification Required for Passport Renewal?

A. Normal, tatkal, renewal, minor, damaged, police clearance certificate, and police verification are compulsory. But in some cases, it depends on the officer, like the applicant or a government employee.
